Paid Consulting & Coaching
Choosing UCC for consulting or coaching is another way to contribute to our community work. Your service fee supports UCC’s charitable mission while you receive support for your goals. We discuss your needs, budget, and fees before starting. Reduced fees and payment arrangements may be available.
Not every request requires a paid service. Learn more.
We talk with you about what you need and what support UCC can offer through our community programs before discussing paid options.
For example, you might be in recovery and ready to start your own organization, or you might want support turning your experiences into a book. These are just examples. UCC supports people with different backgrounds, circumstances, and goals.
Not sure? Reach out. We will help you explore your options. Asking for help does not commit you to paid services.

Our Approach
Your experiences, priorities, and circumstances matter.
We bring professional preparation, community knowledge, and lived experience. We begin by understanding what you are looking for and discussing support that fits your situation.
You choose what to share and who you want involved. Family members, partners, guardians, or other chosen supporters can participate when you want them included.
Our Process & Fees
A clear understanding before paid work begins.
- 1Reach Out
Share your question, idea, or situation. You do not need to include private financial or personal details in your initial message.
- 2Explore Together
We begin with a complimentary introductory conversation, approximately 20 minutes, to discuss your goals and whether UCC is a good fit.
- 3Agree on the Details
We confirm the support, timeline, fees, and what is included before paid work begins.
Fees & Flexible Payment Options
The fees below are examples of potential base rates, not a finalized price list. Your total cost will depend on the support, preparation, and scope of work involved.
We recognize that financial circumstances vary. Reduced fees, payment plans, or other arrangements may be available based on financial need, the request, and UCC’s available resources.
View example base fees
| Service | Example base fee |
|---|---|
| Introductory conversation, approximately 20 minutes | Complimentary |
| Individual consulting | $125 per hour |
| Education and family consulting | $125 per hour |
| Communication and self-advocacy support | $125 per hour |
| Reduced-fee consulting, when available | $75–$100 per hour |
These examples help you understand possible costs. We confirm your fee and what it includes before services begin. Defined projects may also be quoted at a flat fee.
What does the fee cover?
Consulting may include meetings, agreed preparation, document review, drafting messages, meeting attendance, and follow-up.
We discuss and obtain your agreement before completing paid work outside a scheduled appointment. For hourly work, time may be billed in agreed 15-minute increments.
For example, at a base rate of $125 per hour, an agreed 30 minutes of preparation and a one-hour meeting would total $187.50.
For longer requests, we can agree on an estimated total or spending limit before starting. Any proposed changes to the work or cost are discussed with you first.
Reduced fees and payment arrangements
If cost is a barrier, please contact us. We consider requests individually, based on circumstances and availability.
A reduced fee lowers the total cost. A payment plan spreads the agreed cost across scheduled payments.
You do not need to share financial details in your initial inquiry. If additional information is needed to consider your request, we will explain what is needed and how to provide it privately.
We welcome a conversation about cost and what may be possible.
Your Services Support Community Work
100% of revenue from UCC’s consulting and training services supports our charitable mission, including community programs, staff time, materials, and the operations that make this work possible.
Not Sure Whether You Need Consulting or Coaching?
Start by reaching out. You do not need to choose a service first.
Consulting focuses on a particular question, situation, or project. Coaching offers ongoing support as you work toward goals and develop approaches that fit your life.
We can discuss whether consulting, life coaching, executive functioning coaching, or another resource would be the most useful next step.
